Surgery went well!!!!
Michele came through the surgery really well. The surgeon said she has the insides of a 25 year old, which made the surgery clean and easy. Her prognosis looks really good but we won't know until the labs come in, maybe by tomorrow. At this time she was being moved to her room...

contribute to prayer flag
Hello Fellow Painters,
In the spirit of creativity, Suzanne is creating a prayer flag that Michele can hang in her room made by all the people that have touched her life. We want to include notes, thoughts, inspirations, photographs (of you or your paintings perhaps?), and whatever else you may think of in the name of healing. Being creative is always welcome, of course. That's what brought you to Michele in the first place :) But simple messages to wish her well are a perfectly excellent contribution. Don't shy away from sending one.
Whatever you offer, we are asking for your contribution, which will buoy Michele's recovery. You can email your materials or questions to Suzanne at studio@suzannechristine.com. She hopes to assemble a flag that is 6 X 6. We'll present it to Michele once she returns home from surgery, so please send your contributions/materials ASAP, no later than January 9th. We really appreciate your prompt participation.
If more materials/contributions come in after the 9th, we can make a second flag (or third or fourth!), so "take a risk", as Michele would say, and send your contribution anyway even if you're reading this note for the first time after the 9th.
Thank you very much!
Love, Suzanne
a note from michele
Dearest Friends and Painters,
I want to thank all of you with my whole heart for your emails, cards and telephone calls to express your best wishes, prayers and love in this difficult time. I have been very touched by the heartfelt words of support and the reality of an endless giving from the painting community. I am receiving the love and prayers directly in my heart and I feel their precious energy; many messages are still coming and I accept them with enormous gratitude.
I wish I could answer each one of your messages personally. I want you to know that I do read every single one of them and appreciate how much they sustain me. I would write back to all of them, but I have to rest as much as possible right now before my upcoming surgery. I am looking forward to having it, putting myself in the hands of God, knowing all will be well, and all your prayers are with me.
I want you to know I have been very well taken care of at home: Carol Levow has been a great angel in helping me in every way and organizing everything and living with me for the time being. Gloria, my doctor friend, has been endlessly giving her expertise and love and spending a lot of time and energy with me and is trying to arrange her work to spend the first two months of recovery with me and Debbie is coming to spend a week with me to help before the surgery. I am amazed and eternally touched by so much giving and generosity and heart.I can still paint a little bit every day and draw, and I am enjoying tremendously these precious little periods of creativity. I wish you all a wonderful, happy, healthy New year in 2008 with lots of love and peace.
May many blessings shower your life!
With lots of love and gratitude,
Michele
