surgery scheduled

A few days before Christmas, Michele's doctors discovered she has advanced colon cancer, and advised immediate surgery, which is currently scheduled for January 9, 2008, with a total hospital stay of 4 to 6 days for initial recovery. The operation will take place at Kaiser in San Rafael, CA, and Michele will return home afterwards for further recuperation.
